Well, here it is. This is one of the drugs Jordon is going on to help treat his Tumor. It is called Avastin. Avastin is a monoclonal antibody against vascual endothelial growth factor (VEGF). It is used in the treatment of cancer, where it inhibits tumor growth by blocking the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). The Avastin (administered through an IV) will be combined with the pills Mercaptopurine (6-MP) and Lomustine (CCNU). This pill combo is a poison that destroys things that are growing (the tumor). Jordon will start the pills next week, and we will find out about the Avastin next week too.
So that is a lot of medical jargon and big words, so enough of that. It's Friday night, and Jordon and I have a date! Good night!

You two will certainly know all the medical terms before this is over won't you? Hope you had a good date!
