Today was Jordon's first full day home. He was glad there weren't any nurses here to poke and prod. He slept in until 10:00 AM!!! That sure was a treat (for me too). Jordon ate breakfast, took his anti seizure medication, then he went back to bed. What a bed potato :o) That's okay, his body still needs a lot of rest.
He also had speech therapy today. He really impressed the therapists with his skills. Today's visit was an evaluation visit to see how much Jordon has improved since his first therapy session, and there has been a BIG change and improvement, but the therapist diagnosed a few other problem areas in Jordon's memory, verbal and learning areas that she would like to work on.
After the therapists left, Jordon just rested for awhile, then he helped make dinner: potato soup and garlic rolls. YUMMY!!! Jordon also got to go on a little outing to the store. The physical therapist suggested Jordon walk a litte more each day to help build up strength and endurance. She said a trip the store is a great place to practice, so Jordon and I went to Wal-Mart! He was worn out by the time we walked into the store from the parking lot, but after a short rest, he was ready to go again. Can anyone guess what we bought? Anyone? Anyone? GATORADE, and lots of it. We also got some cough medicine.
Jordon came home from the hospital with a virus, so he has been coughing non-stop since the hospital. With rest, and juice, and more rest, and some cold medicine, he should be just fine, but we still have to watch very carefully. Since Jordon is still so weak, a virus could wreak havoc on his body as well as his recovery. Jordon was supposed to wear a mask to the store, to help prevent any other illnesses, but we forgot it at the hospital, and wal-mart didn't carry any. Any suggestions on where to get health masks would be much appreciated.
Well, it is bed time. Jordon gets to do more therapy tomorrow, Occupational therapy, and he needs all the rest he can get!!! Good night to all, and to all a good night. :o)

I'm glad he is doing so well. He is still in our prayers dailey. In fact it was so cute because the other night the kids were saying their prayers and when they got done, my little 3 year old Jaxson sat up in bed and said "Oops we forgot to bless Jordan". I thought that was so cute!
P.S. A trip to Walmart wears me out as well!!!
Thanks for the updates. We love you. I am glad that Jordon is doing so well. Thanks for your strength.
I'm so glad that you are home. Nothing feels better than your own bed and your own house. I'm sorry to hear he has a cough but happy to know that you are doing better and so much improvement continues to be made. Keep it up!
Wendi,
there is a medical supply place on 7800 south and like 1400 west it is on the north side of the road and i am 99% sure that they have masks there.

We've missed the daily posts. Did you come to Vernal for the funeral? How did Jordon do with the trip?
