Jordon Randy Mott 1984-2014

Funeral & Viewing Service Information provided below.

Jordon Randy Mott, 28, returned to his Heavenly home, March 19, 2013 at his home in West Jordan, Utah. He was born April 11, 1984 in Vernal, UT to loving parents Randy Abram Mott and Rosalie Sorenson Dalling.

Jordon married his soul mate Wendi O’Brien Mott on August 4, 2007- two individuals who were destined to be together. Just 4 short months after their wedding day, Jordon suffered from a series of grand mal seizures. After being rushed to the emergency room, it was discovered he had a massive brain tumor on the left side of his brain. Jordon did not feel defeated at that point; in fact, he learned how to walk, talk, swallow and even after losing his memory for a short time was able to regain most of it. He was nothing short of an everyday miracle.

Jordon’s life taught everyone about courage, faith, hope, and love. In his eyes were the FAITH and testimony he had in our Savior’s atoning love. He knew that this life was a test, endured that we might become perfected through life’s journey. Jordon taught so many what it truly meant to “Walk by Faith”. He had HOPE and the will to never give up, to keep fighting through every challenge that came his way. It was that hope he believed in, that breathed life into so many others that he loved, and he knew how to LOVE with a pure and whole heart.

Everyone who met him, became a friend to Jordon. He showed the world that one smile, one kind gesture, or even a simple touch could make this world a better place. That is exactly what Jordon did. He joined EveryDay Angels together, and he taught us how to love, forgive and to hold onto hope even when it seems there is none. Jordon had to endure his trials and tribulations so that others could learn from his life. James 1:12 - Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
He was a missionary, a leader to so many, and no one could possibly forget him, or his best four legged friend and service animal Ezme. If you personally knew Jordon, then you have been in contact with one of God’s finest angels to walk this earth.

Jordon is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Wendi O’Brien Mott (and Ezme) of West Jordon, UT, his parents, sisters Sharida (Ryan) Montague, Stephanie (Justin) Morgan, Chelsea Mott, and numerous family members including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and family that loves him.

The viewing will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home located at 1007 W South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT 84095. Another viewing will be held Saturday March 23rd from 11:30am -12:45 pm.
