Well, after months of fasting and praying, we finally recieved word today that Jordon was medically approved for medicaid. we don't know exactly what "medically approved" means, and we still have to submit some more paperwork, but now we have an answer!!!! At this point, it looks like Jordon made too much for December, so we will have to pay premiums, but they are much better than the almost $400,000.00. We are so humbled.
Another blessing, Jordon's seizures seem to be under control at this point. He is on high doses of anti-seizure medication, and it is still possible that as his radiation continues (and his brain swells) the seizures may come back, but he is doing well. (Another bonus, we found out that the red mark/bruise on his head is actually burn marks from the radiation, kind of like a sun burn, but on a more intense level). The doctors aren't quite sure why it appeared when it did (after a seizure on Saturday), but it is nothing to be alarmed about.
It is interesting, and kind of sad at the same time: Every time Jordon showers he washes away lots of hair. He is also constantly itchy because it falls out throughout the day and lands on his clothes and down his neck. He most definitely has a cool hair do. Half of his head is bald, and the other half (even though I JUST buzzed it) is growing long and dark. He isn't blonde anymore.
The Lord may shut doors, but he always opens a window. This is something we are gaining a strong testimony of. We also have strong testimonies of prayer, fasting, and tithing. No matter what happens in life, WHATEVER the circumstances, pay tithing. The windows of heaven truly do open and there is not room enough to recieve. We also know that through all of this, we are being watched over. All of this is in the Lord's hands. He knows what we can handle and he carries us through the most dificult times. Thank you again for all of your love and support! We love you all.

Yeah!! I am so excited for the great news! You guys are so strong and so amazing. I agree with your testimony of tithing and when he closes one door he opens another. We love you both.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! We are so happy that the Medicare came through! You are being blessed even through a difficult trial. We continue to pray. We love you guys!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! I love the good news. So glad to hear it all. The Lord is so mindful of you. Love ya!
I'm so happy for you! We had Medicaid while pregnant with Rylee (we were poor poor college students!) and it was such a blessing! But she wouldn't quite have cost us $400,000! Glad everything is working out and that you have such an optimistic outlook!
I'm so happy for you guys! The lord is blessing you for your faithfulness!!! Keep up the good work! There is finally light at the end of the tunnel.
YAY! I'm so glad things are working out so well for you and Jordon; that's really exciting.
