Okay, so 5 usually doesn't recieve recognition for being a good score. Most might think a low number and a low score. Luckily, that's not how it works in the therapy world. They work on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being normal and usual. And you know what!!!???!!!! When Jordon was evaluated throughout this past week and today, he recieved almost straight 5's in both occupational and physical therapy. The speech therapists also tested Jordon and his progress is off the charts!!!! GOOOOOOOOOOO JORDON!!!! Not only did Jordon score well, but he was given a clear by the occupational therapists that Jordon can drive once he gets my approval. Oh, and there was a small mention that the doctor needs to sign a form and give his approval. At one point we were told that Jordon couldn't drive for a year but that was false. But since he has the best doctor in the world, we are not so worried. However, Jordon will probably not drive until after his radiation treatments are over. The therapists said he probably won't feel like it.
Jordon did get a new set of wheels though. I know what you are thinking "Jordon can't drive though" and that is true, but we aren't talking about a car. We are talking about a spiffy wheelchair for Jordon to use in case he is too worn out to walk after his radiation treatments kick in. Although right now, Jordon just has fun pushing our nephew and his teddy bear around in it.
Well it is a Friday night, which means it is date night, which means I need to get off the computer and go on a date with my chubby hubby (okay, so he is most definitely not chubby but it rhymes and I am really into rhyming today). PS, make the most of your date nights, and make sure you have them often. They really are an important element in any relationship. Not to mention they are a lot of fun!!!! So stop reading this blog, and GO ON A DATE with your sweetheart!!!!!! Speaking of hearts, Valentine's is only a few days away guys, so get to gettin', and do something sweet for your love on Valentines!!!!

Hey Jordon. That is so awesome that you have scored so well in all your therapy. You have worked so hard and we are so proud of you. Hang in there big guy with your radiation. The wheelchair... you used to push grandma in that and now it's a teddy bear... well, you are an expert! Love , Dennis and Linda
